Job Description

As a Technical Analyst within the Experiment Design and Execution Product Line at our organization, you will enable capabilities that help scientists operate and execute experiments utilizing their day-to-day operational and transactional solutions that facilitate the research process.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product managers and technical teams to identify opportunities for improving our product offerings and ensure the smooth performance of existing applications

• Design, Develop, and Maintain business intelligence solutions to represent key scientific data using Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire or any other visualization tool.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for data visualization and reporting.

• Create data models and define relationships between data sources for efficient data retrieval and analysis.

• Implement data transformations, calculations, and aggregations using Power Query and DAX.

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI

• Cleanse and transform data to ensure its accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

• Develop data pipelines and workflows to automate data integration and preparation processes.

• Apply best practices for data visualization to ensure effective communication of insights.

• Document data models, data sources, and transformation processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.

• Help in the development and enhancement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines aimed at improving development cycles and release reliability.

• Occasionally, you may have the opportunity to travel internationally to support product demands and collaborate with global teams

Education Minimum Requirement:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline (such as computer science, engineering, biology, chemistry, etc.). Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not mandatory.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in IT with ability to architect, engineer, optimize and maintain software solutions to solve complex scientific problems.

• Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and data visualization concepts

• Understanding of SQL and experience in working with relational databases

• Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good knowledge of Data Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Sportfire)

Desired Technical Skills:

• Experience working across Research Discovery, Pre-Clinical and/or Clinical Business areas.

• Experience with Entity Registration and Inventory & Sample Management capabilities.

• Understanding of Laboratory Application and Vendor Landscape.

• Experience with platforms such as Power BI, Power Platform.
