Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex communication projects and campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute advanced communication strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify communication opportunities and challenges.
  • Implement best practices for communication management and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all communication efforts.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the communications team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Create short- and long-form video content, including scripting, shooting, and editing for executive messages, cultural campaigns, and internal storytelling.
  • Support NY based executive internal comms needs using multimedia approaches. Support NY based and/or global corporate wide events with storytelling, photo and video capture and amplification.
  • Launch and maintain new editorial series—both written and audio—that feature employee voices, leadership insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and mission-driven initiatives.
  • Act as a creative beacon for editorial innovation, help discover fresh angles, untold stories, and immersive storytelling opportunities across formats and geographies.
  • Explore new content formats such as podcasts, audio clips, and microvideo features to reach employees where they are and enhance message retention.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners, creative teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure content is on brand, visually sharp, strategically sound, and deeply human.
  • Contribute to and design visual assets, including infographics, digital boards, photo stories, etc.
  • Own the management and publication of key aspects of the company’s intranet
  • Employ a rigorous measurement approach to assess and consistently increase your impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Significant experience in employee engagement and communications for a dispersed and cross-functional audience.
  • Excellent writer, who can make and can articulate complex ideas simply and creatively. Former journalist a plus.
  • Strong technical skills and multimedia expertise. Creative and engaged in new forms of digital content and communications channels.
  • Passion for driving understanding of business strategy and priorities and building community and sense of belonging among employees.
  • Comfortable and effective in serving as a strategic communications partner to senior leaders; able to confidently offer ideas and negotiate communication plans, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive in identifying needs and a self-starter who adopts a solution-oriented mindset to address them.
  • Highly flexible and able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization.
  • Able to embrace ongoing change, pivot quickly, and effectively deliver against tight deadlines; demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and grace under pressure.
  • Enjoy both strategizing and “rolling up your sleeves” to execute plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify communication opportunities and challenges and address them through new approaches that breakthrough to employees.
  • Implement best practices for communication management and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all communication efforts.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the communications team in area of expertise.
  • Diplomatic, with the ability to identify and manage organizational and cultural sensitivities.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $111,500 to $191,950
