As a Chemical Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing ideas in manufacturing area of responsibility to improve Product cost, service, and quality.
  • Ensuring process safety by leading PSM activities on all assigned products
  • Supporting compliance activities by keeping up-to-date material balances
  • Environmental performance with emphasis on waste reduction
  • Improving productivity through continuous improvement activities

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Chemistry.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Two (2) years of Technical Experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Experience as a Chemical Engineer in a Chemical based Manufacturing facility
  • Experience with Reactor Systems
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)

Work location:

  • Cordova, Illinois
