As aProductionPlanner, Manufacturing Operationsat Honeywell, you will be responsible forplanning and scheduling production activities to ensure efficient and timelymanufacturing operations. This position reports directly to the Production andMaterial Planning Leader and is based in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid workoption.

Schedule: Hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days in the office and 2 daysworking from home, effective after a 90-day period

Workhours: Monday – Friday - Flex start (6am-2pm/ 7am-3pm)

Compensation: $75,000- $85,000 DOE
IdealCandidate:

  • Experience in production scheduling, inventory management, or operations coordination.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
  • Experience planning configured Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
  • Understanding of project management principles to manage multiple production schedules effectively.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software, including ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, as well as scheduling tools.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • ProductionScheduling and Resource Management:
  • Develop and maintain a production schedule that aligns efficiently with customer demands while optimizing resource use. Prioritize tasks to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Update and manage the scheduling tool consistently, keeping the lead time-table current and accounting for variations in the supply chain, ensuring accurate commitments.
  • Cross-FunctionalCoordination and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with material planners, operations personnel, product engineers, sourcing teams, and logistics to ensure material availability, facilitating smooth production and reducing delays.
  • Engagementand Performance Alignment:
  • Partner with customer service to address inquiries about production capabilities.
  • Align production targets with customer expectations and the overall business Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
  • ProductionEfficiency & Planning Optimization:
  • Take proactive measures to resolve scheduling conflicts, production delays, and resource shortages. Construct contingency plans to minimize disruptions and sustain production flow.
  • Collaborate with production and material planners to ensure timely task completion and maintain healthy inventory levels.
  • Deliver production documents punctually to maintain active operations across all production cells and to prevent downtime.
  • PerformanceReporting and Effective Communication:
  • Prepare reports that detail production status and scheduling progress, highlighting any delays, overages, or efficiency metrics.
  • Address scheduling issues and assist in implementing solutions to ensure continuous production flow and timely deliveries.
  • Provide comprehensive updates to ensure effective communication across all teams.
  • ContinuousImprovement:
  • Ensure the timely provision of production documents to keep operational flow active in every production cell, aiming to minimize downtime.

The annual base salary for this position is $75,000-$85,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE:
  • 2+ years of production planning & scheduling in manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis, including functions such as XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH, and pivot tables, and Power Query.
  • Experienced with ERP Modules related to production planning (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics)
  • Experience planning configured Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows

  • Experience with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) concepts and the ability to perform material planning activities.
  • Experienced with Oracle ERP. PP.
  • Experienced in Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
