Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, Python, or PowerShell
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year experience with and has contributed to a build system that leverages CI / CD and automated testing.
  • 1+ year experience with Dev Ops tools (preferably Azure DevOps).

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • 1+ years demonstrated experience in designing and developing large scale distributed systems and services.
  • Experience with MSBuild and .NET Framework applications.
  • Infrastructure experience – Cloud + On Prem, VMs, Credential & Resource Management, Security.
  • Solid technical aptitude and a passion for quality, competent debugging skills, experience designing and implementing automated tooling\processes.

Responsibilities

As a
Software Engineer II you will:

  • Collaborate with and influence a distributed team of developers to maintain a complex distributed, highly available engineering infrastructure.
  • Architect, design and develop build/release pipelines, optimizing for resource, reliability and performance.
  • Proactively drive security and compliance effort, ensuring all systems are continuously healthy and well-guarded.
  • Drive discussions with engineers around the org to understand challenges, opportunities, converting ambiguous requirements into actionable execution plans.
  • Research and assess existing/new technologies and determine their applicability to solving real technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate proficient communication skills, including the ability to write concise and accurate technical documentation, communicate technical ideas to diverse audiences, recognize patterns, and to lead development teams.
