About the role:

Electrophysiology is an exciting growtharea in the medical device industry. With the acquisition of FARAPULSE Inc., Boston Scientificis expanding its product portfolio in pulsed field ablation technologies and bringingstate of the art.Senior Fellow levelengineer role supportingdevelopment within the Cardiology division.ngineer role will be a keymember of the senior technical engineering staffresponsible for developing novel technology and product level innovation to support future generations of mapping integrated ablation products.

Engineer, you willnew product development solutions to. You will be a part of a high-performance team responsible for the design, implementation, andof disposable medical devices within our electrophysiology pulsed field ablationsingle usedevice portfolio. This critical role will be a part of best-in-class development practices and rigorous, holistic product design in coordination with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership to product development programs involving the highest levels of technical and system integrationcomplexity.

  • Drives key scope decision based oncriticalusersneeds, knowledge of competitive technologies, and technical designtrade-offs.

  • Drives data driven decisions around critical knowledgegaps.

  • Maintains communication on technical progress and decisions with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Advises development programs tooptimizeproduct development timelines and improve speed tomarket.

  • Researches, develops, designs, andevaluates; mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies,processesand/or equipment.

  • Combines internal and external (outsourced) sources, improves our capabilities toestablishand work with institutions, and external companies, networking, andleveragingcontacts in various industries and research organizations across the globe.

  • sas the system architect and integration lead to drive technical decision-making with a deep understanding of electromechanical systems.

  • Develops solutions to diverseengineeringproblems of high complexity which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.Leveragesinternal/external partners as necessary to achieve projectobjectives.

  • stechnical aspects of complexsingle usedevice development including requirements, design, implementation, test, integration, transfer to manufacturing, and verification/validation.

  • sacross multiple design/product workstreams in acapacityto resolve complex problems with robust technical solutions.Considersall critical aspects of product design during decision making including patient safety, clinical practice, high-level product performance, and product manufacturability.

  • sindependent judgment in developing product requirements, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Solutions require an in-depth knowledge of the circulatory support space and the ability to apply that knowledge in new and innovative ways. Has expert knowledge of the impact of various solutions on the business.

  • olves system problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.Leads technical teams through problem solving.Facilitatescrisp decision making around key technical issues.

  • Defines projects and work tasks based onidentifiedstrategy and goals.

Required qualifications:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related engineering field

  • yearsofmedical device product developmentwork experience, catheter development and electrophysiology background highly

  • creative problem solver who leadsprogramswith a sense of urgency.

  • Experience managing technical aspects of projects as a member of a cross-functional coreteam.

  • task managementenabling highly effective teams.

  • Strong knowledge of design controls & risk management practices

  • users.

  • A proventrack recorddeveloping medical devices from early stage through full product launch and sustaining.

  • Personal drive, individual accountability & a strong bias for action.
