Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the effort to plan, scope, gather, understand and analyze business requirements, and translate business requirements into technical requirements, the vast majority of these being non-functional.
  • Apply business analysis knowledge areas and creativity to drive requirements work effort ranging from planning, elaboration, analysis, validation to communication through the different stages of the requirements lifecycle
  • Engage with business and technology partners to clarify application functions, processes and data flow to align business and technology capabilities or constraints
  • Manage the backlog of work for the business you are supporting, including the development of features and user stories, and refining those features and user stories to support sprint and PI planning
  • Continuously advance the proficiency of business analysis and apply industry standard methodologies to promote forward thinking on the analysis of changing business models and knowledge sharing across other domains

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to plan, lead and direct tactical activities to scope work effort and capture requirements for analysis, and prioritize features to produce required business outcomes
  • Capacity to manage requirements of varying complexity through its lifecycle and validate those requirements with business partners and technologists
  • Strong awareness of technology and security components and their relevancy to the functional modules, especially their advantages in advancing business position and user confidence
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to identify, negotiate and mitigate difficult circumstances (ex. demanding stakeholders, changing requirements scope)
  • Ability to engage and collaborate in diverse settings of people, perspectives and experiences
  • Strong analytical capabilities to decompose sophisticated business models, specify critical functions and identify inter-dependencies for design considerations
  • A sense of urgency, decisiveness, ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to listen and to think independently, and be a curious and creative person

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or relevant experience
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in a significant role interacting with business and technology leaders to define business operations, workflows and technology solutions
  • Direct experience and accountability in the functional architecture of products, product portfolios or solution accelerator with at least $3m of investment, $1m if using leading cutting edge innovative technologies
  • Experience in Agile framework participating directly in Agile practices and producing common artifacts
  • Understanding of product development and delivery framework especially Agile framework and DevOps practices
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of IT solution delivery
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security Clearance

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $83,600 to $156,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $100,300 to $177,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
