KLA Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer - High Precision Motion Platforms

​Responsibilities:

• Design subsystems for precision-motion platforms used in wafer inspection machines. Complete design process including requirements, scheduling, design, analysis, prototype testing, and BOM structure.
• Conduct various analyses and simulations, such as thermal, vibration and FEA modeling, and will also perform solid modeling design using Pro/E and generate detailed drawings, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts.
• Drive system integration, prototype testing, and handoff to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with other engineering groups such as Systems Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure seamless integration at the system level
• During prototype testing, be the expert in servo control, Firmware, and SW Engineers to resolve any issues and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

• Motion Control and Servo System Design
• Signal processing and analysis using Matlab and Python
• Experience in simulations and system dynamics (Simulink)
• Experience in vibration analysis.
• Design experience of positioning systems
• Solid modeling and structural analysis FEA, preferably ProE
• Implementation of high-resolution feedback sensors
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal
• Background in semiconductor design equipment
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience with writing requirements and test plans
• Ownership and leadership skills

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
