Job Overview:

As a Travel Innovation and Engagement Specialist, you will be a technical resource and subject matter expert on travel configuration modules relating to Concur Travel and Expense. You will work with Travel Management Companies (TMC’s) and Concur direct clients. Your initial responsibilities will be to manage change requests to the Concur Travel products functional workflow to satisfy the client’s online booking experience needs. Eventually you will be able to use learned product knowledge to manage more difficult and complex requests and simple projects that require greater understanding. This positon is a pre cursor to advanced consulting, lead, and supervisor positons.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client’s current configuration settings to understand their change request while formulating next step process utilizing standard procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate and organize configuration change tasks with all necessary parties including internal resources, clients, strategic partners, and clients.
  • Consistently define and deliver successful implementation of requested changes in a timely manner consistent with team SOP and performance indicators.
  • Routinely use excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively interface with external clients and internal departments.
  • Maintain a current and thorough understanding of Concur Travel & Expense via up-to-date training requirements, release notes, user group calls and industry-related conferences.

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Prior experience troubleshooting software/hardware or process issues.
  • Previous experience in Technical Support, Implementation or pre-sales role interfacing with customers

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with Concur products or similar competing products is preferred. Experience with software as a service (hosted) is preferred.
  • Successful experience working directly with customers to resolve complex issues.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Problem solving, analytical mindset
  • Task based, process driven approach to achieving objectives
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with Project Management concepts and systems is a plus
