Job Description:
The role requires a mix of traditional research skills such as analytical thinking, attention to detail,ability to multitask andthrive in a fast-paced environment, along with an entrepreneurial mindset of being a self-starter, strong communicator and thinking creatively. Excellent communication, written and presentation skills are a must, as the role requires both internal and external client dialog. The candidate should also be comfortable with a variety of skills such as developing and managing spreadsheets, coding and handling of data.
Tasks:
- Create, edit and update technical analysis charts and reports
- Experience with Bloomberg, Excel and VBA/other coding languages.
- Survey charts and develop trade ideas / high conviction views based on technical theories and signals.
- Regularly interact with internal and external clients to articulate the team’s views and respond to client and sales/trading requests.
- Independently follow market news, technical levels, filter relevant price moves, develop analysis and write impactful reports delivering a clear message.
- Help the senior analyst in publishing daily, weekly and monthly technical research reports on global financial markets as well as larger thematic quantitative and educational pieces.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or equivalent years of experience.
- 1-3 years experience in financial markets
- In depth knowledge of technical analysis such as level 1, 2 and or 3 of the Chartered Market Technician designation passed.
- Knowledge of using Bloomberg, Excel and VBA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Native proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and exercising strong quality control over their own work.
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Thrive in a fast paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in financial markets and/or developing models in Python, Matlab or equivalent languages is a big plus.
