Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures and practices to assure compliance with regulatory and GE requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT, HMT, ANSI and IATA)
Drive EHS compliance through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspections
Engage and influence leadership commitment to EH&S and coach individuals to successfully execute specified EHS priorities
Able to influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practices
Manage key EHS performance indicators (KPI) for the site and drive necessary efforts for success
Lead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions
Analyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance
Assure good standing and action plans with GE’s Environmental Health & Safety Framework
Interface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies, as needed
Execute required actions to maintain OSHA VPP
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, or closely related degree
Minimum of 3 years of experience in successful EHS program implementation
Demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment
Strong knowledge of US EHS related regulatory requirements
Solid understanding of healthcare industry and safety standards
Excellent leadership, program and project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate using English (or local language)
