What You'll Do
- Design, deliver and maintain systems that enforce trip-scale compliance and impact millions of Uber drivers, partners and riders.
- Convert requirements into architecture and deliverables, while maintaining operational efficiency and health.
- Provide technical leadership and partner with fellow engineers to architect, develop and scale Uber's Access Enforcement Platform.
- Write clear documentation so that other engineers can partner to contribute and deliver.
- Drive ongoing efficiency and reliability improvements that improve the quality of the systems.
- Mentor and support your fellow teammates.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience coding using general purpose programming language (eg. C/C++, Java, Python, Go, C#)
- Experience designing high throughput and low latency distributed systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence others within your team and outside your team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with latest system architecture technologies, large-scale distributed systems and trends
- Experience building large-scale configuration management systems and rule engine
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.
