- Help the team continuously make progress on the project by making sure each person is working on the right tasks
- Help remove any obstacles to the team members’ progress, and protecting the team from distractions.
- Coach Agile Teams to be cross-functional and Self-managing high performing teams
Responsibilities:
- The Scrum Master is a servant leader role responsible for facilitating daily scrums, sprint planning sessions, and strict application of Scrum principles and practice.
- The ideal candidate will have scaled agile experience and ability to work across interfacing teams in Scrum of Scrums meetings to keep coordinated backlogs in motion.
- The Scrum Master will help remove obstacles and foster an environment of innovation, continuous flow, and continuous improvement to the quality of deliverables while defining the Definition of Done.
- The Scrum Master will support the Product Owner to manage the backlog and guide the team with respect to priorities and scope.
- The Scrum Master will also provide Agile coaching as needed and could be a part of a larger effort to foster Scaled Agile principles across a broader organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years proven Scrum Master experience with mid-to-large scale projects and managing 3-6 projects simultaneously
- 1 -2 years experience using Jira and Confluence
- 1-2 years experience working with a distributed team including some offshore personnel
- Prior hands-on technical experience with DevOps teams is ideal
- Exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) a plus
- Experience with developing quality documentation, reports, and presentations as needed
- Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, conflict resolution, and continual improvement practices
Preferences
- Certified Scrum Master
- PMP Certification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Manage multiple scrum teams and activities/ceremonies.
- Utilize agile tooling such as Jira to manage work efforts and provide look-ahead and look-back analysis.
- Contribute to and learn from agile/scrum best practices as a part of the agile/scrum team and scrum master community.
