This role requires the developer to partner with core technology and product development teams regularly, to develop solutions to detect and mitigate code level vulnerabilities to secure the development environment.Job Description
• Senior software developer with experience working on fraud reduction through foundational product security fixes
• Apply security concepts to develop solutions for implementing solution in Shift Left paradigm

• Develop and support new utilities to integrate static, dynamic, and open-source scan processes seamlessly

• Conduct deep dive investigations into vulnerability patterns in the product code
• Experience collaborating with product development teams, Agile methodologies
• This role will require a focus on fixing the foundational security and risk gaps in eBay ApplicationsRequirements:
• BSCS degree or an MS degree with appropriate years of experience; We prefer 5-7 years of hands on development experience.
• Over 3 years of related hands-on product development experience with web applications is required; some experience in application security space will be nice-to-have.
• Develop code to Secure build and development environments and integrate with code scanners
• Experience with working in the Security/SecDevOps spaces to build end-end security
• General understanding of OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities as it relates to secure product development
• Strong development experience in Node.js and Java required, and familiarity with databases (like Hadoop) is required. Knowledge of other technologies like Python preferred.
• Working experience with product development teams in a continuous delivery developer role is highly desirable.
• Should be able to deep dive into existing code to detect and remediate security flaws.
• Self-starter and Effective communicator.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a highly motivated team of top-level security experts
