Your key responsibilities:
As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work within our SaT Real Estate specialty practice. You will have an integral role that involves working closely with other members of the rapidly growing national team to execute a variety of real estate mandates.
- Valuation of various types of real estate assets and portfolios in support of various types of engagements including core valuation, due-diligence and transactions.
- Development and maintenance of financial models.
- Participating in the development of public and private sector real estate strategies and portfolio plans.
- Synthesize market information to be used in valuation, appraisals, competitive analysis, industry analysis, negotiation support and various other applications.
- Compiling and analyzing relevant company and industry information, originating from a broad variety of sources (such as financial databases, industry publications, financial statements and public disclosures)
- Assist in real estate due diligence for buy-side or sell-side transactions.
- Continuous review of Canadian real estate market trends.
- Support the team in the preparation of both internal and external presentations.
- Support the team in business development and marketing initiatives across the country.
We are interested in candidates who have:
- Minimum 2+ years of related work experience, preferably in a Real Estate environment
- Undergraduate degree (preferably with a focus on real estate and/or finance)
- Willingness to work towards a CBV, AACI, or CFA designation.
- An understanding of the commercial real estate industry in Canada.
- Understanding of key real estate value drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong computer and financial modeling skills
- Ability to systematically manage multiple projects and meet stringent deadlines
- Solid technology skills with robust knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge or interest in real estate processes, operations, and/or asset management
- Keen interest in working with both public and private sector clients
