REQUIRED :
  • 5+ years of people management experience in a product development environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 10 + years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • o OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience designing and building large scale distributed systems
  • 6+ years of experience in architecture and design with modern client-side/web technologies such as React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Webpack, Node.js or similar. Knowledge of end-to-end Software development lifecycle
  • Ability to work in large teams and mentor juniors
PREFERRED :
  • Experience leading complex software projects over multiple releases covering all stages of the product/service lifecycle
  • Prior experience in Dynamics 365, Model driven Power App, Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate with global teams and driving the SAAS applications charter.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills
  • Efficient technical skills including understanding of object-oriented programming & design, algorithms, database concepts & performance, technologies and microservice architecture
  • Demonstrable coding, debugging, design, testing and problem-solving skills
  • An ideal candidate would have experience driving service health and maturity initiatives for a large-scale global service, have a passion for service and data architecture, have immense curiosity, have excellent oral and written communication skills, enjoy solving challenging, ambiguous problems, and enjoy coaching both junior and senior engineers on how to improve component and service designs to meet scalability, performance, and cost goals

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

You will manage a team of between 8 and 12 developers that are building the next generation business applications. Mentor and guide a team of talented developers, setting a standard of excellence in software design and coding practices. Recruit top talent that will be a cultural-add for the team.
  • Strategic Architecture Development: Craft and implement robust, scalable architecture, ensuring alignment with the latest industry trends and business needs.
  • Innovation: Drive technological innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Be a great engineer - You will be accountable to the design, implementation, schedule, delivery, of your team and services. Doing this in an efficient way is a must.
  • Cross-Group Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders and dependencies across various groups within Microsoft, including Power Platform, Dynamics, Azure, Office, Teams to unlock innovation from across the entirety of the Microsoft engineering solutions stack.
  • World-Class Software as a Service : Ensure the system is optimized for high performance, reliability, security, quality, and user experience, meeting the diverse needs of global customers. Actively participate in live site activities.
  • Future-Proof Solutions: Anticipate future business challenges and technological advancements, integrating flexibility and adaptability into the system’s architecture.
  • Lead the team responsible for building North Star for Dataverse as the Copilot Data Platform
  • Define the vision, value proposition, and target market for Dataverse as a platform that enables low-code makers to leverage AI capabilities on their application data, and shape & govern the enterprise knowledge that (increasingly autonomous) copilots' reason over, and govern & audit the actions
  • Establish the key metrics and milestones for measuring the success and impact of Dataverse as a Copilot Data Platform
  • Explore joint Fabric co-sell opportunities, to accelerate monetization with existing motion
  • Build a productization model and playbook for accelerated transformation “from capability to new product” that can be leveraged across BAP (leveraging DV business growth as an incubation)
