QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Pythono OR equivalent experience.Additional or Preferred Qualifications· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Pythono OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Pythono OR equivalent experience.· 4+ years people management experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

As the Principal Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• You will be responsible for building and managing and innovating in the space of database migration solutions and helping grow the PostgreSQL business at Azure.
• You’ll build, foster, grow, and retain a team of high-performance engineers.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to engineers in, and beyond, your team.
• Own and deliver complete features across the development lifecycle, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, shipping, and servicing.
• Be passionate about making customers successful.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, advancements in service health, and identify opportunities for innovation within the field.
