Oversee Teva’s antitrust and other complex commercial litigation matters across Europe (including the UK), managing and collaborating with external counsel to ensure alignment with Teva’s strategic objectives.
Keep key internal stakeholders, including Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, and Finance, informed of litigation developments.
Support the IP litigation team with patent settlements and litigation strategy.
Advise and train internal stakeholders on competition law issues and risks, fostering a culture of compliance across the organization.
Collaborate with Government Affairs to help manage Teva’s membership in European trade associations and maintain relationships with European competition regulators.
Provide antitrust-related guidance on M&A activities, including regulatory filings and strategic advice.
Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with competition laws across various functions and departments.
Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments related to antitrust and competition law across Europe.
Represent Teva in engagements with competition authorities and other regulatory bodies.
Contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing legal expertise on complex commercial matters.
Your experience and qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Admission to practice law in at least one European jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in antitrust or other complex commercial litigation, gained through:
In-house counsel role within a multinational pharmaceutical company.
Private practice, ideally focused on competition law and/or other complex commercial litigation within the pharmaceutical sector.
Work with competition enforcement authorities (e.g., European Commission or national bodies).
Pharmaceutical litigation and trial experience is highly desirable. Experience with product liability and/or mass tort litigation is also a plus.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
Proven leadership capabilities with a passion for litigation and a winning mindset.
Strong work ethic, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Strategic thinker with a high level of intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills.
Experience working across diverse cultures and time zones.
Willingness to travel up to 20-25% as needed.
