Working Environment

  1. Work closely with key customers alongside of regional business development teams to develop, validate and as needed, help to execute complex solution designs, deployment/integration/migration scenarios.
  2. Work closely with other Post-Sales engineers and product management team to develop common set of IP & Cloud solutions in agile software development based upon diversified suites of requirements and use cases from carriers, cloud service providers and large enterprises.
  3. Deploy & commission IP & SDN networks in large service providers and enterprise networks
  4. Execute Migration strategy & MoP’s for brownfield deployments
  5. Closely co-ordinate with Design team and Technical team to design/resolve the day to day network/hardware issues
  6. Assist in troubleshooting of complex technical issues
  7. Replicate customer environment covering critical network elements (in a Virtual, Simulator, or physical lab) aiding in expediting problem analysis and communication with customer operational experts.
  8. Develop and publish solutions white papers, best practices, learnings, and test/document solutions.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
  1. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services.
  2. Solves complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.
  3. Acts as a subject matter expert for staff / workteam / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as best practice resource within own organisational unit and / or is recognised as an expert within the same professional area in the business.
  4. Provides expertise and delivers advanced system troubleshooting methods like system level tracing, debug, protocol flow analysis.
  5. Identifies, reproduces, and characterizes defects and collaborates promptly with Product support teams for fixes.
  6. Leads and resolves complex situations derived from technical activities such as software upgrade, audit, equipment swap, network expansion, multi-vendor issues, acceptance testing, feature testing, tailored technical support, end-to-end performance improvement, etc.
  7. Interacts with customer for complex cases, providing workarounds, etc.
  8. Leads the Root Causes Analysis (RCA) analysis and report creation.
  9. Complies with the requirements as per the emergency process role and ensures quick recovery for issues categorised as critical outages and code red.
  10. Leads and supports technical activities in early product phases (releases, pilots, trials and early projects).
  11. Promotes, creates and approves knowledge articles (author, reviewer, approver, coach).
  12. Provides customer and internal technical training or consultancy.
  13. Performs system level product competence training and knowledge transfer across teams.
  14. Reviews technical documentation and specifies features for supportability and maintainability.
  15. Works in customer and 3rd party interface (communications, partnering).
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. 10 to 15 years of experience in IP data networking.
  2. Fluency in both Japanese & English is mandatory
  3. Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a relevant technical degree
  4. 5 or more years’ experience in a role requiring understanding, designing and Implementing IP Routing technologies and networking protocols
  5. 3 or more years’ experience in designing & implementing Linux Servers / Virtualized Networks in a decent sized Datacenter, and SDN.
  6. Industry leading certifications like SRA, CCIE, JNIE, ASRA, RH Openstack would be a plus
  7. Experience in network design, integration & migration of large networks in premier Operator/ Vendor organizations.
  8. Strong IP network troubleshooting skills
  9. Must be able to work independently on testing and integration of IP and cloud network infrastructure.
  10. Clear concept and strong technical domain knowledge in routing, switching & cloud.
  11. Good knowledge and hands-on experience of using IP/MPLS Protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRRP, LDP, RSVP-TE, Segment routing. Implementation Knowledge on L2 & L3 services using – VPLS / MP-BGP and EVPN / VxLAN
  12. Experience in troubleshooting Large L2 and L3 based VPNs
  13. Internetworking troubleshooting experience. Good analytical skills and ability to debug network issues.
  14. Strong experience of Linux Operating Systems, including Red Hat, CentOS, and Debian
  15. Exposure to virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, virtual networking, distributed programming, Linux containers, and SDN/NFV
  16. Good understanding of modern Intel platform architecture and platform advancements in CPU micro-architecture, cache and memory, IO and virtualization, etc.
