Compile known sources ofinjury/incident/inspectiondata to ensure data is being entered and closed consistently
Intern will facilitate communications between multiple parties both internal and external as needed to ensureinjuries, near misses, and incidents are logged appropriately
Develop metrics and report-outs through existing tracking tools to communicate trends onincidents/injuries, track closure, and metric cycle time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Student must be pursuing a bachelor’s degreeprogram in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field and returning to their studies upon completion of internship.
Studentmust be available to start May/June and end their 12 weeks ~Aug/Sept
Demonstrated interest in Workplace Safety via courses, projects, or experience
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication + attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
PREFERREDREQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION(OPTIONAL):
Program Managementacademics/experience,including project tracking or visualization tools
Experience with databases or spreadsheets (e.g Excel, Google Sheets) or other methodologies/tools which could be used for organizing and reporting on incident data
