As a Payroll Operations Analyst, Associate in our team, you will be a member of a project team that is responsible for introducing automated solutions to enhance efficiency and ensure accuracy of payroll. You will also have responsibility for ad-hoc requests from senior management, and processing sensitive payrolls where needed. You as the ideal candidate will possess advanced payroll processing knowledge, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment with the ability to prioritize and utilize sound judgment on high-level payroll initiatives.
Job responsibilities
- Provide highly complex analysis, exercising a strong understanding of the payroll framework, Oracle HCM systems, and government regulations impacting payroll calculation.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Oracle HCM payroll flows and processes needed to complete both on and off-cycle payrolls.
- Apply knowledge of the Oracle HCM Time and Attendance Module, and the impact it has on payroll calculations.
- Leverage knowledge of tax calculations related to gross to net and taxable wages.
- Review and reconcile payroll accurately.
- Assist in payroll initiatives while identifying opportunities for process improvement related to reconciliation and controls.
- Collaborate as part of a project team to develop automated solutions that enhance efficiency and ensure accuracy of current payroll processes; also serve as UAT owner on said solutions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years Oracle HCM Payroll experience; experience in more than one payroll function and/or systems
- 10+ years of payroll experience
- Payroll certification Fundamental Payroll Certification or Certified Payroll Professional
- Exceptional understanding of payroll principles with advanced knowledge in payroll reconciliation
- Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Experience writing process documents, job aids, etc.
- Experience in discovery and design as it relates to implementation of payroll related projects
