As an Acoustic Engineer, you will own and drive the acoustic design and implementation for future Apple products. You'll bring innovative audio concepts to life, guiding them from initial ideation through to mass production. This involves deep multi-functional collaboration with Transducer Design, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, Quality, and Reliability teams. Through simulation, prototyping, and validation, you will optimize acoustic performance and work closely with the multi-functional team to deliver high-fidelity audio experiences.Limited international travel to support engineering activities is required.
  • 5+ years in an acoustics engineering role, preferably within the audio consumer electronics industry
  • BS/MS or equivalent, preferably specializing in acoustics
  • Strong communication and technical presentation skills in English
  • A passion for audio and acoustics and a fundamental knowledge of acoustic theory.
  • Experience in an acoustics engineering role: prototyping, producing, and shipping high-volume consumer electronics with overseas manufacturers
  • Proven success in the design, manufacturing, and failure analysis of audio systems
  • Experience with integration of speakers and microphones, including designing for water, dust, and chemical resistance
  • Practical knowledge of electrodynamic transducer design and MEMS
  • Proficiency in acoustic simulation tools, acoustic measurement tools, audio signal processing, and solid modeling
  • An eagerness to take on new challenges, learn new skills, and continually develop by staying open-minded & curious. Strong sense of personal ownership, with the ability to comprehensively handle tasks from start to finish independently.
