Director, Business Operations – Core Platforms
Our Core Platform team is a ~2500-person, global organization. The SVP has three VPs, one Sr. Director and one Distinguished engineer reporting to him. Core Platforms provides composable platforms to meet the demands of customer expectations, regulatory scrutiny, and competitive threats. These include Payments, Compliance, Privacy, Innovation, Identity, Risk, and Customer Service platforms.
This role will act as the primary liaison with corporate and technology business operations leaders and unlock world class operational excellence within the Core Platforms team.

Your Day to Day:
- Partner with senior leadership to define and drive strategicvision, goals and objectives
- Evolve team operating model including processes to enable strategic planning along withidentify opportunitiesfor simplification, quality, and productivity improvement; Deliver the analysis and associated actions necessary to enable continuous improvement
- Deliver spending plans, allocation and oversight processes and hiring strategies to enable judicious management of Opex dollars to/below budget, reflecting business priorities
- Align workforce allocation according to strategic priorities and execute within WorkforcePlanning. Providerequirements to Workforce Planning foranalysis againststrategic initiatives to allowdecision-making.
- Create, implement, and drive operating rhythms, relevant artifacts, and team events to enable better communications and engagement up down and across functions & teams;optimize cadences,drive agenda and prep for internal team rhythms, management/executive reviews
- Build a culture of data-driven decision-makingby building, developing, maintaining,and reporting core Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measurevelocity, churn and capacity
- Be a thoughtful steward of the cultural values we strive for as a company (collaboration, innovation, inclusion, wellness) and an ambassador of for enterprise-wide activities
- Drive Technical Platform program/project in collaboration with engineering leaders
- Partner with enterprise stakeholders in further defining the jobframework, skillsmapping, and locationstrategy for CorePlatforms
- Manage budget and key SOWs with third parties
What You Need to Bring:
- 12+ years of experience in planning, business operations or technical projectmanagement
- 8+ years of experiencedelivering strategic,high-priority projects inmatrixed environments
- Ability toestablish credibilityand rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike
- High delivery focus with an emphasis on task ownership and completion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Ability to balance business partnership with the need to exercise independent judgment and to raise issues in a timely and constructive manner
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed management environment
- Ability to influence and achieve alignment across a range of different opinions and interests
- Ability to work independently and within a teamenvironment
- Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related fieldis required
