Boston Scientific Principal Compliance Analyst - Dangerous Goods

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the transportation of dangerous goods and assist with investigating related incidents; provide technical support to all sites as necessary
  • Keeping abreast of hazardous material and dangerous goods regulations through ongoing education in International Air Transport Association (IATA), US DOT 49 CFR 171, and IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) compliance standards
  • Classifying products for transport and updating SAP and other databases with necessary information
  • Communicating proposed regulatory changes and rulings, develop and execute action plans accordingly
  • Establishing and implementing dangerous goods procedures and policies; perform global assessments of regulations and programs
  • Designing, conducting, and coordinating training sessions on dangerous goods
  • Establishing, maintaining, and reporting KPIs to identify and address areas of concern

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in international dangerous goods and hazardous materials management and dangerous good classifications
  • Experience with shipping battery and other dangerous goods
  • Certification in US DOT, IATA and/or IMDG dangerous goods

Preferred qualifications:

  • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor certification (DGSA - Europe)
  • Experience working in medical device or similarly regulated industry
  • Experience implementing automated and/or AI-based solutions
  • Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
