Sr. Director, Head of S&G Analyst Programs and Recruiting


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a team of Talent Acquisition and L&D professionals, ensuring they are aligned to high-impact work in support of our delivery goals and their professional development

  • Develop multi-year strategies and roadmaps for making progress on our Analyst Talent Strategy and build-buy in from business and HR partners

  • Create sourcing, recruiting and selection strategies in partnership with critical TA functions such as Talent Marketing, Selection, etc. to hire highly sought after talent

  • Enable game changing business results by delivering best-in-class learning experiences (including identifying where to find efficiencies and leverage existing programs, and where entirely new resources need to be created)

  • Provide innovative and creative solutions to senior executives with a willingness to push and challenge for transformative work

  • Ensure that the recruiting and learning solutions ladder back to Capital One’s values, culture, competencies and expectations and the goals of the broader Talent Acquisition organization

  • Work with cross-functional teams across HR to shape talent strategy and products

  • Leverage data and analysis to problem-solve and influence key stakeholders in a grounded way

  • Lead the efforts to support the roll out of new resources and create sustainable, well managed programs and processes by applying discipline in simplicity and scalability

  • Fuel a culture of continuous learning on the team and among our partners by keeping an active pulse on external trends and bring them back to the team

  • Motivate the team to high performance while caring for well-being and balance as a role model and a tone-setter for the team

  • Advance the mission around inclusive recruiting through leading practices in hiring, team building, and infusing these concepts across the team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 8 years in recruiting, learning & development, human capital consulting, human resources or business operations

  • At least 8 years of experience in a consultative role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, Science, or Engineering

  • Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or Coaching certification

  • At least 10 years of client facing experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

  • At least 10 years of experience in strategic consulting

  • At least 8 years using data to conduct an analysis and present results to various stakeholders

  • At least 8 years of experience in people management

  • Experience with recruiting systems and platforms

McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Recruiting Richmond, VA: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, RecruitingThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
