Step into the future of manufacturing at NVIDIA! As a Senior Manufacturing Development Engineer, you’ll help turn daring ideas into real-world innovation, working closely with top hardware teams and suppliers. In this role, you’ll drive detailed integration, champion new fabrication techniques, and ensure our products set the example for excellence. Make your mark in an environment that values creativity, curiosity, andproblem-solving—whereyour impact will shape tomorrow.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide end-to-end manufacturing assembly process solutions, including DFX (design for manufacturing, design for assembly, design for 6-sigma, design for testing, etc.).

  • Identify, assess, and apply risk mitigation strategies, leading investigations of issues, identifying root causes of product failures, and driving corrective actions.

  • Review contract manufacturer (CM) readiness, develop assembly fixtures and jigs, and establish clear assembly and manufacturing specifications through a step-by-step validation process.

  • Gather feedback through DFx, yield issues, and repair center activities to improve workflow efficiency, analyze system assembly gaps, study cosmetic appearances, and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Assess automation capabilities, propose waste reduction and cost optimization, recommend technological aids, product design changes, and workspace layout modifications to achieve optimum quality and efficiency.

  • Coordinate the purchase of special equipment, materials, and other parts, ensuring they meet intended use, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Guide suppliers in optimizing manufacturing process parameters like cycle time and yield.

  • Evaluate CEM technology Capabilities, recommend optimal assembly strategies to support NVIDIA’s innovation needs, handle multiple projects, resolve risks timely, and lead continuous efficiency and performance improvements.

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years of related experience.

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A master's degree is a plus.

  • Validated mechanical/thermal architecture mentality, expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and 2D drawing, with a critical focus on manufacturing risk.

  • Good understanding of commonly used equipment in manufacturing, familiar with electrical or electro-mechanical components, and PCBA-related manufacturing processes.

  • In-depth mechanical/thermal background, with a consistent track record in engineering design, manufacturing, or product quality engineering in consumer electronics, GPU, automotive, or server products.

  • Effective problem-solving skills, technical and quality critical, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data proficiently in SPC, 6 sigma, quality control, CpK, and PPAP.

  • Knowledgeable in DFM, DFA, DFx, manufacturing cost breakdown, and accurately predicting production performance.

  • Proficiency in CAD software, with Creo preferred, excellent written and verbal soft skills, and proficiency in English, with flexibility to travel.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Balanced design and manufacturing experience with quality delivery and a background in consumer data center mechanics.

  • Thrive in a sophisticated environment, with a willingness to roll-up your sleeves and get hands-on. We seek a self-starter and leader with a deep sense of dedication.
