As part of our Finance Transformation team you will gain deep Power and Utility (P&U) industry experience working with senior leadership teams at our P&U clients as we support the energy transformation through Sustainable Finance. You will combine your finance capability with program and change management expertise to implement and embed improvements and deliver sustainable value.

Join our dynamic team as a Manager, Finance Transformation and be at the forefront of finance thought leadership and innovation for the Power & Utilities sector. In this role, you will co-create visionary strategies that empower CFOs to drive sustainable, long-term business value. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing future-proof operating models that meet rigorous reporting, regulatory, and control standards, all while leveraging cutting-edge technologies. You will craft compelling cases for change, encompassing both financial and non-financial factors, and lead the execution of comprehensive Finance Transformation programs.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager Finance Architect for the Power & Utilities sector, you will play a critical role in leading and delivering innovative business processes and solutions. You will work individually and lead teams to create strategic solutions to navigate through complex challenges and learning opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • PowerPlan implementation and integration with ERP and EAM systems
  • Finance operating model design
  • Finance processes improvement
  • Shared services and global business services design and implementation
  • Outsourcing advisory
  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Finance systems (e.g., SAP), robotics, and intelligent automation
  • Financial close, consolidation and reporting
  • Cost management and profitability analysis
  • Procure-to-pay and record-to-report processes
  • Asset and project accounting
  • Knowledge of interconnected utility billing to cash processes via CIS systems and GLs.
  • Familiarity with utility rate structures, recovery and revenue models
  • Understanding of the business of power transmission and distribution and the financial planning drivers related to these operations
  • Understanding of FERC reporting requirements and intersections with GAAP reporting
  • Defining and executing key deliverables
  • Managing project timelines and tracking progress
  • Engaging with clients regularly, providing valuable insights and leading working sessions
  • Travel requires 60- 80% as needed to meet the needs of our external clients, including opportunities to lead teams and drive additional service offerings.

  • PowerPlan and ERP system experience
  • Proficiency in business case development and digital strategy
  • Awareness of finance compliance and regulation
  • Ability to assess finance quality, maturity, efficiency, and operational risk
  • Expertise in finance strategy, operating model design, and transformation roadmaps
  • Commitment to finance sustainability and driving outcomes

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree (4-year degree)
  • Typically, no less than 2 - 4 years relevant experience in consulting and power and utilities industry
  • Experience with P&U specific finance functions and applications such as SAP, Oracle, and Power Plan
  • Business case development
  • Digital strategy
  • Finance compliance and regulation awareness
  • Finance quality, maturity, efficiency & operational risk assessment
  • Finance strategy, operating model and transformation roadmap
  • Finance sustainability

What we offer you

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,000 to $267,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
