And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.We are seeking an L5 Systems Development Engineer to join our Firmware Builder Services (FBS) team within the Hardware Engineering Services (HWEngS) organization. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining services, systems and operational infrastructure that enable delivery of firmware to AWS datacenters globally. You will collaborate with cross-functional product vertical and firmware development teams to solve challenging technical problems and drive system designs that shape the future of our infrastructure. You will stand up operational infrastructure to manage services and systems at scale across multiple geographical regions.As a SysDev in the HWEngS organization, you’ll have a front-row seat to innovation in Hardware Engineering Services, contributing to the development and scaling of firmware deployment orchestration systems. Your work will enable the seamless delivery of low-level software/firmware to meet the increasing demands of our customers.Why you will love it: You will work directly with engineers across the company to launch next-generation AWS platforms. - 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
