As a Site Reliability Engineer II - Cloud Native, You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in reliability, observability, and automation to ensure top-tier performance and uptime. You'll create tools to automate the deployment, monitoring and management of the platform.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Automating deployment workflows with shell/python and Saltstack/Ansible
• Deploying Infrastructure As Code using terraform
• Developing monitoring solutions based on Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards
• Defining reliability requirements and performance metrics for Akamai's cloud computing infrastructure.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have professional experience in a Site Reliability or System Engineering role, with large scale distributed systems
• Have experience with open source monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Have experience with automation tools such as Saltstack, Ansible, Jenkins
• Have experience and knowledge with K8s Orchestration and networking technologies such as routing, firewall and DNS
• Have experience with Linux systems and tools such as netstats, traceroute, tcpdump
