APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop software and hardware for use in production RF (Radio Frequency) test environments. Write C++ and/or Python software to control RF test equipment. Characterize hardware performance using RF test equipment such as VNA. Analyze KPIs with Python/Matlab to identify trends to improve calibration algorithms. Write code to control tests to identify the root cause of any system anomaly. Compare and correlate data from multiple RF test equipment. Develop RF calibration algorithms for internally designed test equipment. Present to the project leadership results from characterization and design review of calibration algorithms. Travel to manufacturing sites to support manufacturing and calibration of internally designed test equipment. International travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,091 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 6 months of work experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Education and/or experience must include each of the following skills:
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) calibration techniques such as Vector Network Anlyzer (VNA) calibration
- Experience using Python or Matlab to measure KPIs
- Experience measuring insertion loss with RF test equipment such as VNA
- Experience working with Radio Frequency (RF) devices such as power amplifiers, mixers or antennas
- Experience designing tests and setting up Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment
- Experience reading and understanding circuit and block diagrams for Radio Frequency (RF) devices
