A successful candidate will:

Basic Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
At least 8 years of experience in a law firm, governmental agency, or as in-house counsel
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a law firm, governmental agency, or as in-house counsel
3+ years of experience in advising financial-services companies or advising on debt-collection laws and regulations
Demonstrated ability to lead people
Experience advising companies on matters of regulatory compliance, including with UDAAP, the FCRA, GLBA, ECOA, and TILA
Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently, make effective and integrated decisions, and collaborate effectively at all levels in the company
Ability to deal with ambiguous situations, complex concepts, and details
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence others
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
This role is hybrid meaning associates spend 3 days per week in-person at our Plano, TX office. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are options for in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
Plano, TX: $205,400 - $234,400 for Director, Asst General CounselThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.. Eligibility varies based on full or part-time status, exempt or non-exempt status, and management level.
