Job SummaryFarm, a Flex company with over 50 years of experience in providing award-winning development services for medical, life sciences, and consumer healthcare sectors, is seeking a Technical Lead - Mechanical Engineer based in Hollis, New Hampshire.TheTechnical Lead - Mechanical Engineerwill play a critical role in creating the next generation of advanced medical technologies.
What a typical day looks like:
- Work on a diverse range of innovative products, including connected health wearables, therapy systems, and surgical robotics.
- Engage with a variety of clients, from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 medical device companies.
- Serve as the mechanical technical lead on complex projects within a dynamic team environment.
- Conceptualize, investigate, develop, innovative product architectures through to design transfer into manufacturing.
- Advise on product development strategies, including scheduling, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take a systems-level approach to product design and development.
- Deliver presentations to communicate design strategies, value propositions, and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Support business development engagements through capability presentations, technical assimilation, and authoring proposals.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Requires 8 years of product development experience with a mix of early stage design, full development, and new product introduction, including electromechanical and a preference in medical devices.
- Experienced in contributing to product requirements, managing design risks, and leading teams to develop innovative designs and high-quality deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a highly collaborative attitude and a proven ability to lead with accountability.
- Versatile in quickly assessing and resolving diverse product challenges, with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, including plastic part design and metal fabrication.
- Proficient in using SolidWorks and/or Creo to address mechanical challenges and create high-quality CAD databases, prefer experience in CAD advanced surfacing.
- Prefer experience in some of the following: engineering simulation, designing experiments, fluidic systems, robotics, catheters, materials, optics, protype coding, and sensor integration.
