Develop and procure manufacturing equipment and fixtures for early-stage prototype builds and full-scale production
Collaborate with equipment integrators and suppliers to design, manufacture, and install equipment for medium to high-volume production
Characterize, validate, and implement new equipment and fixtures on the production floor
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including detailed work instructions to train technicians and line operators
Plan production workstation layouts for optimal product flow, ergonomics, and efficiency
Conduct process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing, and capacity modeling/simulation to improve manufacturing performance
Provide DFM feedback to the design team to enhance manufacturability, process efficiency, and yield
What You’ll Bring
4+ years of experience as a hands-on mechanical/manufacturing/design engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systems
Experience using 2D cad tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD) and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (SolidWorks or CATIA)
Experience with conveyance, transducer-based fastening systems, robotic systems (Fanuc preferred)
Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment
Experience providing Design for Manufacturability and Automation
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
