The Analyst, Planning & Analytics is a pivotal role within our Global Operations team. This role ensures data integrity, management, and curation to support end-users throughout the studio. This role involves aggregating data and building models and dashboards with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and context. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Planning & Analytics, you will be a key contributor to the Global Operations organization.

Role Description:

  • Data Integrity:Maintain a strong focus on the accuracy and reliability of data at its source.

  • Tool Development:Assist in the creation, development, and maintenance of prototype tools and dashboards, including financial and operational tools.

  • Automation:Assist with automation of production finance and cross-functional reporting using both retool and the data portal.

  • Deck Crafting:Develop comprehensive presentations to support business development and guide strategic decision-making at the studio level.

  • Data Staging:Act as the primary point of contact for data staging in our financial systems, ensuring workflow efficiency.

  • Documentation:Document workflows and provide necessary context.

  • Collaboration:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for the entertainment industry, animation, and technology

  • Keen interest in understanding Animation CG Production Pipelines, and broadening their Production Finance knowledge

  • Can build complicated financial models, dashboards, and decks

  • Is innovative and curious about the entire animated film ecosystem

  • Is comfortable getting into the weeds and reconciliation

  • Has an ability to anticipate needs and understand the order of events within their environment

  • Can thrive and grow in a creative, dynamic, results-oriented environment, and is able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once

  • Works autonomously and drives deliverables to timely completion

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a media/entertainment company, consulting firm, public accounting firm, production accounting, or another applicable environment/role

  • A strong interest in animation is highly desirable; exposure to visual effects or digital animation is preferred but not required

  • Strong active listening skills and ability to anticipate needs

  • A college degree in accounting or finance is a plus.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills

  • Currently has Tableau, javascript, database management and/or SQL experience, or willing to learn

  • Strong, concise written & verbal communication skills with colleagues at all levels
