As a Control & Approval Associate within the Asset Based syndicated loan Approval Team, you will be responsible for executing internal control discipline and operational excellence. As the primary point of contact to internal & external stakeholders, you will review high priority transactions and proactively communicate both verbally and in writing as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret complex credit documentation, determine operational feasibility, provide feedback and recommendations as warranted.
- Review of Commercial Loan advances, principal payments, reprices, settlements, and manual transactions.
- Provide feedback to Servicing Teams on operational market trends and correlated risk
- Initiate reviews for funding activities; manage the funding process with Corporate Treasury, syndicate lenders, and risk team.
- Verify Calculation and tracking of complex interest and fee accruals at various rate levels across changing lender distributions.
- Confirm all conditions precedent have been met and compliance items meet the established banking guidelines for all transaction types.
- Demonstrate accurate and timely completion of customer service and research in accordance with the credit agreement.
- Minimize credit and business risk through awareness of procedure, compliance, and bank policy.
- Reconcile exception reports and make system adjustments as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3 or more years of Commercial or Asset Based Lending operations experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience reading and interpreting post-close credit agreements, intent notices, email approval/notifications, signature cards (AODA), funding agreement documentation and internal communications
- Strong analytical thinker who can identify connections between various pieces of data and systems and quickly articulate client impact and risk
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize competing demands
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills and ability to interact with people in all levels of the organization
- Highly motivated self-starter
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills

This is a hybrid role which requires going into the office 3 days a week with 2 days flexibility to work from home, which is subject to change.
Final Job Grade and officer title will be determined at time of offer and may differ from this posting.
