As the Manager, Technical Accounting & Reporting, you will be a key resource in performing technical reviews on Company transactions, performing financial analysis, preparing financial reports and providing insights to the business. You will be responsible for executing on critical financial reporting responsibilities including quarterly and annual financial reporting processes and creating effective controls and efficiencies in the Company’s financial reporting and accounting processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop new policies as needed and analyze the impact of changes to historical periods and related impacts on financial disclosures
- Responsible for the preparation of technical memos on complex technical accounting issues
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management’s discussion and analysis (MD&A) in support of the Company's efforts to mature its accounting and disclosure standards.
- Responsible for preparation of Statement of Cash Flows
- Involvement with equity and stock-based compensation accounting; responsible for statement of stockholder’s equity preparation
- Responsible for the completion of our GAAP checklist
- Assist in the preparation and review of international entity financial statements
- Assist with technical revenue recognition
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and IR as we mature quarterly reporting processes
- Provide technical accounting advice to the accounting department and finance organization
- Assist in the creation of effective internal controls as needed over financial reporting and equity accounting
- Assist with other special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 8+ years of combined experience in public accounting, including experience auditing publicly traded global corporations or corporate experience at global, publicly traded growth companies in technical accounting/reporting roles
- Highly skilled and current knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationships
- Demonstrable leadership ability and experience building and working with high-performing teams
- Experience with financial systems including NetSuite, Workiva, Shareworks and/or similar systems
