As a Facilities Electrician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of all the electrical distribution systems.
  • Work from drawings, schematics, and other electrical documentation.
  • Collaborate with other discipline technicians to support mechanical and process equipment.
  • Use and update electrical procedures for electrical maintenance and operation.
  • Conduct functional acceptance testing for newly installed components of the electrical distribution system. Conduct daily rounds and readings.

These positions are for acompressed workweek role that works alternating three- and four-day work weeks:

Day shifts:

  • Shift 5 works front half of the week (Sunday-Tuesday) and alternates Wednesdays.
  • Shift 7 works back half of the week (Thurs-Saturday) and alternates Wednesdays

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

The candidate must possess at
least oneof the following:

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree and 3+ years of experience within all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems
  • Military with 5+ years of experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems.
  • 8+ years of field experience within all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Additional requirements of the job are:

  • Wear personal protective equipment such as level 4 arc flash suit on average 1 day per week for up to 2 hour a day in a week in an indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Lift 30 lbs 3 times a day on average.
  • Willingness to get trained and Pass CPR/AED certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working experience covered by National Electrical Code (NEC70), Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment Maintenance (NFPA 70B), and Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E).
  • 3+ years of experience in reading single-line electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • 3+ years of experience with Electrical metering and testing equipment including multi-meter, ground fault detector, VLF, and IR camera
  • 3+ years of experience recognizing system and equipment deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action.
  • 3+ years of experience with all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems.
  • Experience in a sustaining environment such as maintenance requirements for industrial electrical facility systems, such as electrical distribution (up to 15kv), switchgear, generators, and variable frequency drives.
