Duties: Conduct financial analysis including financial statements, projections and returns calculations. Structure, execute, and maintain credit facilities for Corporate Clients in the North American Power and Chemicals sector. Perform credit analysis and full loan underwriting for financial transactions involving Corporate Power and Chemicals clients. Review and assess the credit profile and strength of existing clients to verify Credit worthiness and risk suitability. Prepare credit applications and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data. Define and negotiate the credit structure of lending transactions (pricing, tenor, amortization, collateral, and guarantors) and credit framework for covenants, representations, warranties, and events of default with clients and internal credit approvers. Assist with transaction structuring and execution, ensuing appropriate risk and return characteristics. Comply with Credit Policy, Credit Product Programs and Risk Acceptance Criteria. Interpret and assess the credit profile and strength of each existing and prospective borrower of the credit products offered by the Citi Corporate Bank. Prepare and review facility covenants in order to assist with portfolio management, including Credit Approval, annual reviews, covenant monitoring and compliance, waivers and extensions, and all related system maintenance. Perform problem recognition and assist with classified loans and remedial management. Propose credit classifications and appropriate risk ratings on specific transactions/relationships. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics or related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Investment Finance Specialist Lead, Credit Analyst, or related position involving conducting financial and credit analysis for a global financial services institution. 7 years of experience must include: Creating financial models and projections based off client information; Preparing financial reports and credit analysis; Analyzing and determining economic cycles and how they affect clients’ repayment conditions; and Documenting and approving credit facilities for Corporate Banking clients. 4 years of experience must include: Documenting and approving credit facilities for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals.
