Join this team, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with large scale systems with trillions of rows!* Be able to reason, influence stakeholders and drive the feature from inception to production launch that will help improve Siri and Search.* Work with data science, cross functional search teams & stakeholders to support new features, data requirements & easier experimentation* Build solutions & frameworks that help accelerate engineering velocity for the entire org & partner team across Apple.* Deliver artifacts, code with high quality* Develop highly optimized solutions for petabyte level scale with optimal costs.
Key Qualifications
- Strong coding skills in any programming language
- Strong problem solving skills and be able to write high quality clean and performant code.
- Quick learner who can learn new technology stacks, programming languages & drive, deliver features with high quality.
- Experience solving Big Data problems. We solve problems at Petabyte scale so we build infrastructure to solve problems for massive datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Be able to influence & negotiate with stakeholders, open to feedback and iterate on solutions collaboratively.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
Education & Experience
Our applications are complex and strong programming skills and computer science fundamentals are essential. Whether you have a traditional CS degree or self-taught or learned some other way, we’d love to talk with you.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP is a plus
- Experience with big data storage systems, data lake, data pipelines is a plus
- Experience building Kubernetes based jobs & services is a plus.
- Experience with web search is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
