Chaos Engineering is the discipline of experimenting on a system to build confidence in the system’s capability to withstand turbulent conditions in production.

As part ofteam in HA, you will be working closely with partners (Azure, EXO, MSR) to build the next generation of Chaos platform for Substrate. The platform willthe resilience, architecture choices, predictability and evenand incident response processes of critical components in M365 distributed systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software design and development experience with backend services

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud and services experience; Azure cloud experience is a plus.
• Experience writing services and micro-serviceson middle- or back-end tier.
• Experience with networking layer optimization and tuning,deployingandmaintaininglarge scale cluster products,definingand testing performance characteristics of backend solutions
• Analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.
• Passion for building reliable and well-tested code.
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly
