Netflix seeks a Coordinator to be part of the Minors, Immigration and Diligence team (MInD). MInD advises on and oversees compliance globally for productions and PR/marketing activities with respect to immigration requirements, child labour laws, and diligence processes (background checks on crew working with minors and “contributor/participant care” checks and processes which can include criminal background checks, psychological evaluations and support, medical testing and much more) .
The successful candidate will have prior experience in a legal and/or entertainment setting, is self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple diverse responsibilities while maintaining an unwavering attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires curiosity and significant initiative.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Preliminary review of background checks and psychological evaluations for show participants and crew.
  • Creating, updating and tracking spreadsheets for diligence clearances, employer work permits and visas.
  • Preparing legal documents for signature and the coordination of signatures (e.g., immigration petitions, deal memos etc).
  • Managing, maintaining, and updating all forms and dashboards used by our team to maintain alignment internally and with the various teams we partner with at Netflix.
  • Leading on document management for the team with particular regard to data privacy practices and compliance, maintaining up-to-date precedent banks for legal templates and information sheets.
  • Management of invoices from third party vendors.
  • Leveraging new technology for the team, coordinating with cross functional teams accordingly.
  • Maintaining flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned.
To be successful:
  • You will preferably have done this before. Meaningful experience (3 years +) in film, television or a law firm is preferred but not required. Possible backgrounds include experience as a coordinator in entertainment/production or paralegal in an immigration or entertainment law firm.
  • You are a team player with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • You are tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new or changing systems, you pay strong attention to detail and work well with changing information.
  • You respond positively to change, are respectful of new ideas, and strive for organizational efficiency through innovation.
