We’re looking for an exceptionalSenior Principal Designerto bring their experience, craftsmanship, problem solving abilities, and above all, creativity, to createindustry defining footwearon insanely fast timelines. The ideal candidate needs to be highly creative with an exceptional eye for silhouette, style, method of make, and a solid understanding of lifestyle and performance attributes. You’ll obsess the importance of details, and believe that the only best product design, that’ll genuinely WOW consumers, earns a Jumpman. The ideal candidate will be focused on elevating the art of footwear design by blending their expertise in digital tools with craftsman level making and construction skills; using renderings and physical samples to persuasively communicate ideas and concepts at the highest level.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
• At least 10 years’ experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products
• Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience
• Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives
• Experience in technical footwear design - running design is a plus
• Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills
• Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
• Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
• 3D design programs experience is a plus
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
• Knowledge and experience with sustainable design and manufacturing are a plus
• Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
