As a software engineer on the AI/ML team, you will work with applied scientists to build distributed systems that leverage state-of-the-art multi-modal AI model building infrastructure to identify objects in sensor data (such as video streams from cameras). You will use OpenSearch technology to enable automative developers to efficiently query for scenarios such as pedestrians on a sidewalk using semantic and structured queries. Our technical challenges involve back-end software engineering, applied science, and front end development. We need to develop and apply quantitative algorithms (e.g. machine learning, computer vision, network optimization) to make industry process analysis relevant and actionable for operations engineers. We build software and information systems to process massive scale operational data, infer information relationship across complex systems, train decision models and apply them to critical operations at industrial scale. We work very closely with innovative, market leading customers to drive effective digital transformation of entire industries and the supply chains that support them.As a developer on our team, you’ll own code end-to-end from design to development, and work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology involving modern databases, AI, ML, Big Data, search and more.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis and SageMaker
