SAP Discrete Industry Logistics Senior Consultant - SCM, MFG, CRM
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
SAP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Processes Consultant with knowledge and experience implementing SAP Applications in Discrete Industries. The SAP Discrete Industry Senior Business Process Consultant facilitates the implementation of the S/4HANA Suite of Applications and Technologies to enhance the clients’ business functionality, cover business process requirements, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. In addition, the Senior Business Process Consultant will partner with the client and other vendors to facilitate design workshops, demonstrate SAP’s core capabilities, assess fit/gap analysis, define overall scope, configure the system, complete functional and technical specifications, define reporting requirements, coordinate testing, assist with end-user training, and provide cut-over, pre-go-live and post-go-live support and continuous improvement. In addition, as part of our core competency to move our customers to the S/4HANA Digital Core, HANA, and Cloud Platforms, and incorporate the SAP Leonardo Innovation Portfolio, we will enable our customers to realize the intelligent enterprise and become a best run business. Expected tasks in addition to implementation work and pre-sales support, one must also:
- Be actively involved in the preparation, conceptualization, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects
- Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews
- Take responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks
- Develop detailed plan of process implementation
- Define detailed blueprint for development requirements
- Lead industry /corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP)
- Develop and Assure quality of process models
- Demonstrate profound knowledge of modeling standards and tools
- Assist in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans; acting as liaison with client for troubleshooting (investigates, analyses, and solves software problems)
- Analyze and map clients’ business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs.
- Support the internal Digital Business Services (DBS) Manufacturing Industries North America Consulting Practice with pre-sales support, spot consulting and internal projects and commit to the success of customers, partners, colleagues, and SAP.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in: Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline, and a minimum of seven years’ progressive experience, the successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years consulting experience. Graduate degree a plus.
- Candidates should have an expertise in more than one (ideally more) of the following solutions:
- Core ECC Logistics: SD, CRM, SCM (PP), MM, QM, PLM, EWM, TM, etc.
- SCM: PP, APO, IBP, SPP, SPM, etc.
- PLM: PLM, PS, PM, EAM, AM, CPM, MRS, PDM, VE, etc.
- Experience with Discrete industry (Automotive, Hi-Tech, IM&C, A&D), among others business processes and various related industry experience
- Formal SAP certification in a related application area is a plus
- ABAP development and debugging skills a plus
- Good knowledge of SAP integration to Core ECC desirable.
- Experience with SAP Implementation Methodologies (ASAP, Activate, Sprints, Solution Manager, etc.).
- Knowledge of SAP Model Companies (LOB & Industry), Premium Engagement offerings, Engineered Services (ES), etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within client
- Ability to act as a team lead, work-stream lead, and or Project Management capability.
