This is a critical supply chain role that requires a strategic and tactical approach to managing materials supply and inventory.
Champion the NPI and Sustaining Clear To Build (CTB) processes and provide internal visibility and reporting on current and future materials readiness
Work and plan with our Contract Manufacturer and supplier partners to drive materials and resolve NPI and production shortages
Collaborate with the Engineering, Product Management and Operations teams to source parts from strategic partners in support of our product roadmap and qualification activities
Advise strategies and make proposals to manage supply of materials during product generation transitions and supplier EOL announcements
Implement inventory and materials management processes and strategies that maintain production and enable the company to scale
Drive risk buy purchases for NPI, newly qualified and constrained materials
Influence the Commodity Management and Planning teams on allocations decisions and materials forecasts
Monitor E&O and other inventory risk and recommend measures to limit or eliminate liability
Publish and maintain various materials and inventory reporting, analysis, and data
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years managing materials in a fast-paced work environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio
Strong written and presentation skills
Experience in creating and implementing cross-functional work flow processes
Experience in devising and recommending strategies to drive materials and manage inventory
Preferred Requirements:
Master’s degree
10 years or more managing materials in a fast-paced work environment
