Minimum Qualifications
  • Programming and software design skills (proficiency in Python and/or C/C++);
  • An interest in software architecture, APIs, high performance extensible software and scalable software systems
  • Understanding about performance modeling and profiling of computer systems, and how to optimize code efficiency for a given platform
  • Solid ML fundamentals including data processing, training regimes and evaluation
  • A passion for edge / on-device ML
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or PhDs in Computer Science or relevant disciplines
  • Experience with full-stack web development (e.g. Django) and front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue or other comparable frameworks such as React or Angular)
  • Back-end system skills including containers (docker), cloud orchestration (Kubernetes), database (SQL, Postgres)
  • Experience in computer system power profiling
  • Experience developing code in one or more of training frameworks (such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX); experience with Transformers, CNNs or Stable Diffusion; experience with on-device ML frameworks such as CoreML, TFLite or ExecuTorch
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
