Our transportation and logistics team in the Middle East is experiencing exciting growth and we have a need for a strong Road and Transport Planning Expert to support one of our major clients in Qatar. You will be working closely with our client in their strategic transport planning vision. Whether your journey includes keeping pace with capacity building and accelerating technology innovations, ensuring safety and security, or maintaining transport networks, we’re on board to serve all aspects of highspeed and conventional passenger rail, freight and logistics, mass/public transit, and innovative bus solutions.
As a Road and Transport Planning Expert, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Qatar's transportation networks. You will provide expert advisory services to our strategic client, leveraging your strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to drive the success of projects varying in complexity, from minor improvements to large-scale upgrades.
Responsibilities not limited to;
- Conduct in-depth studies, assessments, planning, and development of transport networks. Review contracts, specifications, and standards to ensure compliance and feasibility.
- Analyze reports and plans related to the planning and operation of transport networks, ensuring conformity with client-adopted standards.
- Provide technical observations and recommendations on transport network plans prepared by government agencies to secure necessary funding from the client.
- Develop comprehensive studies to assess and enhance existing transport networks while planning for future growth.
- Offer expert technical consultations to the client's departments and technical sections regarding the design of transport networks.
- Prepare and review terms of reference documents for future transport projects and strategic studies tenders.
- Advise the client on critical strategic studies that will shape the future of transportation in Qatar.
- Develop and refine engineering and planning standards and requirements specific to the transportation sector.
- As a successful candidate you will be degree qualified in transport planning or an engineering-related discipline.
- You will be a seasoned expert with a minimum of 15 years in transportation planning, developing policies and procedures.
- Your track record should demonstrate your ability to successfully navigate complex projects, provide strategic advice, and deliver results that exceed client expectations.
- Throughout your career, you should have gained deep insights into the intricacies of transportation network design, assessment, and development.
- Your experience should span a range of projects, from minor improvements to large-scale upgrades, showcasing your versatility and adaptability.
