Responsibilities:
- Initiate interviews with all employees to verify and document local and transitional worker qualifications
- Monthly visits to jobsite to interview (Local & Transitional) workers and keep their files current
- Submit required documents to the Bureau of Contract Administration
- Work closely with Jacobs to keep the project in compliance as it relates to the required participation levels
- Help to mitigate any issues with contract compliance in the event some should arise
- Track progress and step in to rectify any and all issues on our behalf
- Developing, creating, designing and marketing specific programs targeting Local Residents and/or Transitional Workers for construction opportunities at the Covered Project (e.g. handouts and fliers for “walk-ins” demonstrating program entrance procedures)
- Coordinating services for contractors to assist in their local worker, transitional worker and apprentice utilization.
- Educating and assisting contractors on incentives provided by State or federal programs for On-the-Job Training and employer tax credits.
- Providing supportive services such as skills training, childcare, transportation, education remediation, assistance with union fees and tools.
- Liaising with the various building trades crafts for referral and placement of local hire and/or transitional workers.
