Your Career
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Safety and Compliance Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This individual will partner cross-functionally to ensure global compliance of Palo Alto Networks hardware platforms, covering safety, electromagnetic, wireless, and other regulatory domains. You will leverage deep expertise to obtain, maintain, and expand worldwide certifications while guiding engineering and operations through evolving compliance requirements.
Your Impact
- Partner with hardware/software engineering, product management, and operations to execute product life cycle compliance strategy
- Ensure worldwide certifications and regulatory requirements are met and maintained to support market access
- Guide engineering and operations on product changes to define re-testing and re-certification needs through end-of-life
- Coordinate certification testing with external labs and agencies, resolving technical issues as needed
- Manage relationships with domestic and international regulatory bodies to obtain and sustain approvals
- Support and review factory audits to ensure product and component compliance
- Collaborate with worldwide operations for factory bring-up and certification readiness
- Develop and implement a product quality audit process to ensure ongoing compliance
- Provide certification evidence to customers and maintain the internal certification database
Your Experience
- Strong knowledge of global product safety and regulatory standards for networking equipment, including FCC (Class A/B), CE, VCCI, IEEE/EN, NEBS, and Telcordia
- Expertise in wireless and telecom certifications (802.11, 4G/LTE, 5G) and major international approvals (BSMI, CCC, Anatel, etc.). Direct in-country certification experience is a plus
- Proven ability to manage certifications with such as EU RED and WW approvals w/ 4G/5G modules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach
- Experience managing EMS, OEM, and ODM partners
- Proficiency with Google Suite and business systems such as Agile, Oracle, SAP, Arena
- Networking hardware familiarity (routers, switches) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (BSEE, BSCS, BSCE, BSET) or equivalent military experience required
- 8–10 years of experience in product compliance for networking hardware, with a track record of obtaining global certifications
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $110000/YR - $179500/YR.
