Leave Administration and Absence Management associate oversees the US leave administration and absence management processes, procedures, policies, communications, tracking mechanisms, recordkeeping, data analytics, and programs for JPMorgan.
As an Analyst, you will work closely with colleagues in the Payroll, Workforce Data & Records team as well as administrators, principals and supervisors throughout to make absence administration programs, policies, processes and communications accessible, understandable and supportive to the firm and state leave policy
Job responsibilities
- Integrates leave administration and absence management processes and procedures with the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Time and Attendance, Payroll and Benefits administration platforms.
- Ensures compliance of leaves administration and absence management policies and processes with federal, state and local regulations as well as the contractual provisions of all unions.
- Critically evaluates the efficacy and relevance of leave administration and absence management processes and procedures to support a streamlined, centralized, accessible leave administration program.
- Identifies processes and procedures, lines of communication, opportunities for critical monitoring/data integrity oversight, and other aspects of the leave administration and absence management programs to ensure compliance with policies, contractual provisions of all unions and federal, state, and local leave administration regulations.
- Evaluates and recommends processes and procedural changes that would more fully integrate and coordinate the leave administration and absence management programs with HRIS, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Monitoring/Auditing and recordkeeping systems.
- Provides project management to oversee changes or program rollout including documenting project progress; revises materials/forms/communications, updates website, and creates training materials.
- Serves as a point person to leadership (supervisors, principals) and their questions related to these programs.
- Conducts ongoing critical review of leave administration and absence management policies, processes, procedures and communications to ensure they are fully compliant with relevant employment regulations (federal, state and local) and contractual provisions of all unions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in human resources, labor relations, organizational development or a related discipline.
- Five (5) years of full-time, paid, professional human resources generalist experience preferably in a leadership capacity which has included responsibility for HR policy compliance review, processes oversight, project development/management and leave administration using an integrated HRIS/Attendance platform.

- Leave Administration policies, processes and best practices.
- Data analytical tools, including complex Excel spreadsheets, V-lookup, pivot
- tables.
- HRIS systems, preferably Oracle or other major platform, and HRIS integration with Leave Administration, Time and Attendance, Payroll and Benefits administration platforms.
